Heroes - an excerpt

Pairing/Character: Henry, Elizabeth, and Glenda. Original characters from the novel I am currently writing.
Summary: This is part of chapter one in my novel actually. Elizabeth has found herself lost, not only in physical direction but within her self as well. She gives up in the literal sense but is rescued by an older woman named Glenda and her son Henry. Henry is bitter towards Elizabeth and his reasons for being this way are unknown at this time. I'm posting this because I'm struggling the most with the beginning of this story. I think it could use some changes but I'm unsure of what. Any help is most appreciated :)
